Aeronautical materials are the foundation of the development of aviation industry and involve a large amount of global import and export trade. Due to the high demand for materials from global aeronautical parts manufacturers, the aeronautical materials market in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America continues to rise. The global aeronautical materials market is expected to reach $25.8 billion by 2022, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.9% from 2017 to 2022.
China's civil aviation industry system, which takes COMAC as the core, unites AVIC, sweeping the whole country and faces the whole world, will make the civil aviation industry an important mainstay industry for the future development of Shanghai. COMAC Composite Materials Center and Civil Aircraft Materials Industry Development Alliance, established in 2018 and 2019 respectively, Shanghai will be further deepened as an important platform for disciplinary development, technological innovation and industrial development in the field of aeronautical materials.
